Around our house, we are big fans of quick weeknight meals. On a regular basis, we toss something inside one of those packs of sliders and toss it in the oven. We have found one or two brands of sliders we love because they are always tasty and pre-cut; those are the Pepperidge Farm brand buns!

One of the biggest crowd pleasers among our slider recipes is our Montecristo sliders!

Montecristo Sliders

An easy family dinner that everyone will love!
Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes
Cooling Time 5 minutes
Total Time 45 minutes
Servings: 6 people
Course: Main Course
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Pepperidge Farm Hawaiian Slider Rolls
  • 1 pack Deli Ham
  • 1 pack Swiss Cheese
  • 3 tbsp Mayonaise
  • 1 tbsp Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Strawberry Jelly or Jam (whatever you have on hand)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. Open the sliders and apply a small amount of mayo to the bottom of each slider.
  3. Rotate, applying a small layer of ham and Swiss cheese (2 layers of each total).
  4. Replace the top half of the rolls and cover with tin foil. Bake for 15 minutes, remove tin foil and spray the top of the buns with non-stick spray, then bake an additional 5 minutes uncovered.
  5. Allow the sliders to cool for 5 minutes, then sprinkle a small amount of powdered sugar on top.
  6. To make the dipping sauce, I will mix strawberry jam with a little bit of water to make it thinner and easier to dip, especially for younger diners. It is typically 2 tbsp jam/jelly to 1 tbsp water.
